The Language Institute of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (LI NPRU) was established in 1998 with the primary mission of strengthening the English communication skills of our university students in order for them to be capable of effectively using the English language. Graduates from NPRU are required to pass the English training courses at a level in which they can actually communicate with foreigners.

Recently, the institute has also begun providing almost all freshmen with elective courses in ASEAN languages as well foundation English courses. LI NPRU not only provides language courses, but serves students at the Self Access Learning Centre within the LI by supplying various media such as movies, CDs, DVDs to students who are eager to improve their language skills themselves through self-study. 

Overall Operation:

Since the establishment of the Language Institute of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University in 1998, the institution has been providing various language training courses for students, faculty and staff. Additionally, we also offer a wide range of training courses to meet all needs and abilities of our varied clients. All courses provided are specified as follows;

1999        -    English for Communication for students

                -    English for Doctoral Studies for faculty members

2000        -    English for Communication for students

                -    English Training for faculty members

                -    English Training for staff

                -    Various tailor-made courses

2001-2002    English for Communication for students (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels)

2003        -    English for Specific Purposes (ESP)

                -    English for Academic Purposes (increased from 6 credits to 12 credits)

2004        -    English for Specific Purposes for students

2005        -    The Language Institution has been restructured to be a part of the Faculty of

                      Humanities and Social Sciences.

2007        -    English for TOEFL iBT Test for faculty members

                -    English Training for General Administration and Finance Staff

2009        -    English for TOEFL Test for faculty members

                -    English for TOEFL Test for those Interested

              -   ELLIS and English Discoveries online training for English lecturers

                -    English for TOEFL Test for faculty members (continuing program)

                -    English for Everyday Communication for faculty members

                -    English for Everyday Communication for Academic Support staff

2016        -    The Language Institution received approval from the university to separate

                      from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
